Interview at CBS News, why we started the project, before our show at New York Comedy Festival.
"Comedy for Peace is a great experience and meaningful way to bring together the community. It’s so important to bring together people around shared laughs especially at times that can seem scary and divisive."
Rebecca Zimilover, UJA NY

Comedy for peace was a night of laughs, warmth and happiness for our community. After 2 years of being apart, it was the perfect evening to come together. The comedians did an amazing job of making us laugh and feel excited and also emotional. At the end of this evening we where so emotional and feeling optimistic for the first time in a long time. Comedy for peace is what the world need right now! Dotan, Tehran, Steve and the rest of the group, thank you for coming to Milwaukee! this was everything we had hoped for. Toda Raba!

Comedy for peace was such a great night in our community, it brought us together, Jews, Christians and Muslims, we laughed so much and you could literally felt the great energy that surrounded the room. It was super easy and professional to work with Dotan, he took care of almost everything. I’m highly recommend to use their beautiful and educational Comedy, that allows open conversations and no judgment. Thank you so much.

The Denver JCC thoroughly enjoyed hosting ‘Comedy for Peace’ as part of their 2021 Neustadt JAAMM festival. From the good laughs, to the diverse topics and representation, we are so glad to have hosted them. Comedy for Peace does a beautiful job of weaving comedy and laughter into love, connection and tolerance. We could all learn a lot from Comedy and we certainly did this in this performance!
Program Manager at Mizel Arts & Culture Center
We hosted Comedy For Peace as part of our Israel Independence Day week, and it was a huge success. The comedians managed to engage the students and encouraged them to participate in the show, the jokes were hilarious, and overall the participants had such a great time. The show ended with a beautiful message of tolerance and unity, which was very important for me. I would definitely invite them again!
Olya Malov, Brooklyn College
Erik Angel and his crew of talented comedians are witty and funny. They have the ability to connect with audiences of all ages and adjust their show on the spot. And of course, it has a message: We are here to joke, laugh and leave all politics and differences outside the room for 90 minutes. Highly recommended to schedule this show at universities, community centers and any place with a diverse audience that appreciates comedy.

On behalf of my colleagues at the Argosy Foundation, I would like to extend heartfelt appreciation, for the outstanding performance of Comedy for Peace held in Burlington, Vermont on April 12. I commend the professionalism of the entire Comedy for Peace team, and I wholeheartedly recommend that any organization that is looking to encourage respect of other religions and cultures, by humorously exposing and gently ridiculing existing stereotypes, consider enlightening their audiences with this no-politics-just-comedy approach.

"Comedy for peace is an outstanding show from amazing comedians that really bring joy to our screens in times of uncertainty during a pandemic. We spent the evening with a great group of students and comedians, filled with laughter and enjoyment. CFP brought out a great group of comedians and were way better virtually than ever expected. We didn’t know what to expect with it being a virtual show, but we were pleasantly surprised and couldn’t be happier with how it went. Everyone from young students to older community members enjoyed the night, and laughter was shared by all".
Lauren Goldman, Engagement Associate- MIT

Laughter is one of the best medicines there is when grappling with tragedy or uncertain and difficult times, and thanks to the brilliant performers of Comedy for Peace, our community received a major dose of laughter and optimism last night. Comedy for Peace aims to bring together Muslim and Jewish communities across the country through laughter and not politics, focusing on our similarities rather than our differences to foster a sense of unity and connection. Follow Comedy For Peace to learn more and find out where they'll be performing next!

Even though it must have been challenging to have such a mixed audience from college kids to the veterans of our community, you did a great job of including everyone! I think it was a great success! I know I laughed pretty hard and that’s what really matter!
Elizabeth Meehan, audience member, Saratoga, NY
Comedy 4 Peace are so much more then just bunch of talented comedians, they are smart, know how to read the crowd, facilitate them in the show in respectful and funny way, but it doesn’t stop here. Comedy 4 Peace created so many bridges for us, with Muslim students, the Persian community in campus and more. I can not stress with how important this show was for us and they were being fantastic!

The Comedy For Peace show brought laughter and positivity to UC Santa Cruz. It's great to see initiatives like this that promote unity and understanding through humor, without resorting to divisive political commentary. Hopefully, more events like this will continue to spread across campuses and communities, bringing people of all backgrounds together through laughter and shared experiences.

Comedy for Peace show at Muhlenberg College, just mad everyone cries. From laughing... The students loved the show, and needed a break between sets to catch their breath. The Q&A session in the end was important, and really tied all the event together, and all of us left with a taste of more.
